As I have mentioned proper hydration is essential for all Dogs so I always carry fresh water for my Dogs! I NEVER like to let my Dogs drink from anywhere but water I have sourced! There are times that it's not possible to control every lick they will take as we adventure through many areas so my rule of thumb is what I call BGROSS and is explained in the info-graphic below. It's only a guide as there are many toxins natural and man-made that can lurk in water without even being visible so please keep that in mind! I will also always water my Dogs before they have the opportunity to come into contact with any foreign water sources (which again I won't give them that opportunity unless the water first passes my BGROSS test) like swimming or dipping in a water way. If I water them before they swim or dip they are less likely or at least more inclined to drink less of the foreign water.
